E-Filing Projects

The Florida Child Support Program, Florida Association of Court Clerks, and Florida Courts E-Filing Portal team began working together in 2019 to implement batch e-filing of high-volume documents the Child Support Program sends to local clerk of court offices.

Project 1:

Redirection and Case Closure Notices: This project replaced paper notices for certain opened and closed Title IV-D cases with existing support orders with a daily data file through the CLERC system.

Although the method of notification is electronic, depository staff are still required to timely and accurately update case-type changes in the CLERC system. Timely case-type changes ensure that payments process correctly without delay and prevent enforcement actions when the parent who owes support is paying as ordered.

  • The interface with the CLERC system and e-filing began April 2020.

Project 2:

Administrative Final Orders: This project provides clerks of court the option to request batch e-filing of Final Administrative Support Orders rendered by the Child Support Program. In addition to the final order, the Program e-files the Notice of Social Security Number, Demographic Information Sheet, and Income Deduction Order as separate documents.

  • Final orders entered by DOAH are still mailed to the appropriate clerk in hardcopy.
  • E-filing of administrative final orders began statewide in March 2021.

Project 3:

Notice of Proceeding to Establish an Administrative Support Order: This project provides clerks of court the option to request batch e-filing of Notice of Proceeding to Establish an Administrative Order. In addition to the notice, the Child Support Program e-files the Demographic Sheet and the Clerk of Court Action Request forms. The Program obtains the depository number electronically, eliminating the need for your staff to complete and return the Clerk of Court Action Request form.

  • E-filing of notice of proceedings began in January 2022 for participating clerk offices.
