Consumers can purchase qualifying tools and equipment exempt from tax during the 2024 Tool Time Sales Tax Holiday. Passed by the Florida Legislature and
signed into law by Gov. Ron DeSantis, the sales tax holiday begins Sunday, September 1 and extends through Saturday, September 7. The Department of Revenue
created this webpage to provide information and promotional materials for consumers, businesses, and other interested parties.
Consumers
During the 2024 Tool Time Sales Tax Holiday, the following qualifying tools and equipment are exempt from sales tax.
The sales tax holiday does not apply to the rental or repair of any of the qualifying items. Additionally, the sales tax holiday does not apply to sales
in a theme park, entertainment complex, public lodging establishment or airport.
