Consumers can purchase qualifying gas ranges and cooktops exempt from tax during the 2023-2024 Gas Ranges and Cooktops Sales
Tax Holiday. Passed by the Florida Legislature and signed into law by Gov. Ron DeSantis, the sales tax holiday begins
Saturday, July 1, 2023 and extends through Sunday, June 30, 2024. The Department of Revenue created this webpage to
provide information and promotional materials for consumers, businesses, and other interested parties.
Consumers
During the 2023-2024 Gas Ranges and Cooktops Sales Tax Holiday, the following qualifying items related to gas ranges and cooktops are
exempt from sales tax.
The sales tax holiday does not apply to the rental or repair of any of the qualifying items. Additionally, the sales tax
holiday does not apply to sales in a theme park, entertainment complex, public lodging establishment or airport.
