Next Step: At the December 4, 2018, meeting, the Governor and Cabinet approved the Department's request to adopt this rule. The Department will file the rule for certification with the Department of State on December 19, 2018. The rule will be effective on January 8, 2019.

Purpose:    The purpose of this rule is to remove outdated procedures clerks of court follow to notify owners of property subject to tax deed sales amended in s. 197.522(3), F.S. The clerk will now rely only on address information on the certified tax roll and property information reports.
