Report and pay Prepaid Wireless E911 fees collected on or after March 1, 2015 to the Department
Legislation was passed in 2014 that requires retail sellers who sell prepaid wireless service to collect a 40¢ fee on each sale of prepaid wireless service that allows a caller to interact with the Enhanced 911 (E911) System. Beginning March 1, 2015, the fees collected are to be reported and paid to the Department. The first monthly and quarterly fee returns are due on April 1, 2015. If you sell prepaid wireless services at retail and have not registered with the Department to collect, report, and pay the fee, a simplified registration process is available at Read more
