A payment agreement is a written plan a parent makes with the Child Support Program to pay their past-due support, usually through regular monthly payments. Payment agreements are used when a parent who owes past-due support is unable to pay the full amount all at once. If you are looking for a job, your repayment can be delayed up to 60 days. A payment agreement is the quickest way to get your license reinstated.

STEP 1: Request a payment agreement.

The fastest and easiest way to do this is online with your eServices account.

If you have an eServices account

  • Log in to eServices
  • Look for the alert at the top of your user dashboard
  • Click the alert to request a payment agreement online

If you do not have an eServices account

  • Register for an eServices account today
  • Look for the alert at the top of your user dashboard
  • Click the alert to request a payment agreement online

If you do not see an alert on your eServices Home Dashboard, you may still request a payment agreement by contacting us another way. Contact the Child Support Program by email, phone or web chat and sign a payment agreement to pay your past-due support.

STEP 2 (For driver license reinstatement only):

Pay your reinstatement fee with Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (DHSMV).

Once the Program notifies DHSMV to reinstate your license, it can take 2 business days for the Program’s request to appear in DHSMV’s computer system. Once DHSMV receives our request to reinstate you need to:

  • Access the MyDMVPortal.flhsmv.gov to pay your driver license reinstatement fee online; or,
  • Call the DHSMV at (850) 617-2000; or,
  • Visit your local DHSMV or tax collector office to pay the license reinstatement fee.

The reinstatement fee must be paid before DHSMV will reinstate your driver license. If your license has been suspended for reasons other than child support, full reinstatement of your license may not be possible until you resolve all outstanding non-child support reasons for suspension.
